What is Whoeveristhirsty.com
Whoever is Thirsty is an on line church for the serious seeker. I say, church, but I hope it isn't churchy, because I would suspect that you may have already checked out the church...and it may well be that having checked it out you checked out of it because whatever they are selling there, you're not buying it. I understand. I don't care for Churchianity or Churchians either.
This is a place for serious seekers. I say, serious seekers, because I have found that not everyone who claims to be seeking is really looking for answers. For many the search has become an end in itself. They are like those Paul wrote of; ever seeking but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. There is a reason for this, they are not really seeking, they are just playing the seeker game.
This, then, is a place for those who are tired of the search. This is a place for serious seekers; people with serious questions that the church was unwilling or unable answer. This is a place for people who have been looking for those answers, but who have not been able to find them. This is a place for a serious discussion of a serious Christianity that can satisfy your head as well as your heart. This is a place for people who are seriously looking for something that will truly fill the emptiness. This is a place for the thirsty.
How it works Each week I will be posting a new "sermon." The sermons will be in two formats; audio and text. The discussion button will connect you to a forum where the sermon can be discussed and questions asked. I will answer the questions and respond to posts once a week; usually Fridays. When I post a new "sermon," perhaps based on some of your questions or comments, I will shut down the thread on the previous week's sermon and the process will repeat itself.
In the archives section I will be posting other things I have written. I would invite you to check them out too. If you would like to discuss one or more of them with me feel free to contact me. Also, you might check the book store.
